Dracula by Bram Stoker

The story:

For those who don't know the story, Jonathan Harker is asked by his employer to go to Transylvania to assist Count Dracula with some legal papers and purchasing of property in England. While he is there he notices many unusual things about the country, the Count and his strange lady friends. Johnathan becomes a prisoner in the Count's castle and manages to escape, but disappears.
Meanwhile, Johnathon's intended Mina is noticing some very odd things happening with her best friend Lucy. Their friends are so worried they call the famous Dr Van Helsing to help investigate.
Basically this group of friends, along with Johnathan (once he is rescued) unravel the mystery surrounding the Count.

Backpack, Yoda & the chicken pen.

I have finished making a backpack. I was really happy with how it turned out. I've been suffering from a lot of headaches lately so I haven't been reading as much as I would like. But here are some pictures of the backpack, as well as a little Yoda I made (which I posted elsewhere but forgot to post here). I also finished a top and a headband last month.

Sookie Stackhouse Series (True Blood) - Charlaine Harris

*Warning - May contain spoilers!!!!

Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series has been made into the popular HBO series True Blood.
I have now read the first ten books and watched the first two seasons of the series. With the new book Dead Reckoning just being rolled out around the world, I thought I would do a quick review.

Mary Randolph Cater

I have been really inspired by her books lately. I call it, the art of not housekeeping and it is my new philosophy...

Back on Track...

I know I haven't posted for a while and I also have lost a few followers on Facebook, here on this blog and elsewhere - and that's fine, we are all busy people and can only keep up with so much before we lose track of everything.

With starting University full time this year, I find less time for the other things and I also find I can't be on the computer as much because I am using it for my study. So I need to be disciplined myself. I will be cutting back on any blog hops and memes unless they relate to reading or crafting. But I am grateful to the hosts of past things I have participated in, because you have spread some cheer and goodwill in blogging.
